3 in one pushchair. Doona Stroller
Doona is an infant car seat that is unique that can also be used as a
stroller travel. This makes it a perfect travel pushchair for those who don't require a separate stroller or car seat. It has high safety ratings from Stifting Warentest, ADAC, and OAMTC and five stars for the ease of use. The Doona is also rated for air travel with infants and is certified to comply with all the strict US and EU standards.
It has an exclusive double-wall structure that allows the wheels to simply fold in the Doona's body, which offers significant safety benefits. Two layers of impact-absorbing plastic along with additional layers of EPS foam and fabrics, provide enhanced side-impact safety for your child. The handle acts as a strong anti-rebound bar that absorbs the force of an accident and stops your baby from rotating and suffering serious injuries.
To remove the Doona's wheels there's a lever located at the back of the seat that you lift up. This causes a small vibration, but it doesn't wake your baby. To get the wheels back in, just lift the same lever, and the process is seamless.
The Doona is compatible with a variety of automobile models and public transportation, making it a perfect travel pushchair. The Doona is designed to easily fit through narrow airline aisles, and it's approved for air travel. You can take it with you anywhere, even overseas. It's also easy to put up without the base which is a major advantage if you're renting cars on your trip or don't have the space for a separate base at home.
4. Trvl Stroller
If you're on an easy stroll around town or on a weekend getaway or exploring distant destinations, the Nuna Trvl Stroller will keep your travels smooth and hassle-free. This lightweight stroller is loaded with convenience and comfort for both you and your child. It also has an easy-to-fold design that redefines what it means for a stroller to be ready for travel.
Its progressive front and rear wheel suspensions are perfect to navigate bumpy terrain while its adjustable calf support raises to transform the seat into a carriage so your little one can comfortably ride. The tailored canopy features UPF 50+ sun protection and a peek-a-boo window. And if you're a frequent flyer, you'll be pleased to know that this stroller can be tucked away in the overhead bins of most airlines (please inquire with your airline to be sure! ).
The Trvl is super easy to use even with infants. It is simple to connect the PIPA Series infant car seats to the belly bar with its magnetic MagneTech snap buckle. The Trvl is equipped with a leatherette accented handle and pushbar to provide an ergonomic grip.
The Trvl comes with a large, easy-to-access basket that can fit a lot of gear (it fits a diaper bag and small backpack!). The legs of the stroller are longer to provide more stability, and it can be can be easily rolled over any surface. The fold is a bit difficult. The handle and ring combination needs to be perfectly timed which means it is susceptible to falling out of place If you're not careful. This is a minor inconvenience however, it's something to consider when you are planning to take this stroller for trips.
5. Graco 3D Lite Stroller
This stroller has a lot to offer a single child model. It has a quick one-second fold and an expandable basket with a parent cup holder. It also has a pivoting tray for the child as well as the safety harness has five points. The downside is that it doesn't fully recline, making it not the ideal choice for babies (use from 6 mo+).
It's the most affordable in this review. It's lightweight and has a high seat that gives your child a great view. It's not as sturdy as other models and is prone to slipping on uneven surfaces such as cobblestones. It has dual front wheels that can be turned to the side when they encounter obstacles.
The 3D Lite has a small storage bin that can accommodate a medium-sized backpack diaper bag and it also has an open window on the canopy. Its sunshade may be the smaller and doesn't extend to the back of your child's. It does come with an open sun visor, though.
The seat comes with a five-point harness that is padded and the frame has a shoulder strap so you can carry it folded. It's not as compact as the TraveLite but it folds quickly.
It comes with a three-position seat recline, but it doesn't go all the way flat (use starting at 6 months or more). The brakes are stiffer than most of the competitors and require both sides to be pressed in order to get full brake engagement. Overall the quality of the 3D Lite is decent for its price. It's superior to the budget-friendly Kolcraft Cloud Plus, but not as good as some of the more expensive rivals.
